Love Parks Week is Keep Britain Tidy’s national campaign encouraging everyone to celebrate, care for, and make the most of our local green spaces. This year’s theme is “Respect, Protect, Enjoy” – a reminder of how important our parks are for health, happiness and community life.
Here in Market Drayton, we’re fortunate to have a wide range of parks and play areas, all maintained by Market Drayton Town Council. Whether you’re enjoying a picnic, playing with the kids, skating, or simply stretching your legs in the fresh air, there’s a space for everyone.
🌳 Town Council Playgrounds & Open Spaces
Town Park
📍 Frogmore Road / Manor Gardens, TF9 3AY
Just a short walk from the town centre, Town Park is a local favourite. With its large open green space, play equipment and central location, it’s perfect for a kickabout, picnic, or afternoon with the kids.
Buntingsdale Park
📍 Buntingsdale Road, TF9 1LT
This spacious park offers a wide range of play equipment and lots of open ground – great for games, exploring, or a quiet walk with the dog.
Skate Park
📍 Newtown, TF9 1JT
A hotspot for skaters and riders, the Skate Park sits next to the swimming pool – making it easy to combine a swim or gym session with outdoor fun.
Dalelands Park
📍 Dalelands Estate, TF9 1DQ
With varied play equipment and a friendly, local feel, Dalelands Park is a short walk from Walkmill Meadows and offers a peaceful place to play and relax.
