We recently met Svenja at a Pure Networking event in Market Drayton, and she told us it was the warmth of the group that made her feel so welcome at her first meeting. These networking events, supported by Make It Market Drayton, give local business owners a chance to connect, share ideas, and explore ways to grow their businesses — and Svenja has certainly made the most of it.
Svenja owns Diddi Dance, covering Wolverhampton, Stafford, North Telford, Shawbury, and Market Drayton. Part of a national franchise, she’s led her branch for 11 years, bringing experience from her previous role teaching Dance and Performing Arts at a sixth form college.
At Diddi Dance, she runs preschool classes for children aged 18 months to 4 years, offering a fun, engaging environment where little ones can move, dance, and enjoy quality time with their grown-ups. Her Market Drayton class runs on Tuesdays from 1.45–2.30pm at the Scout Hut, and she and her small team also deliver a variety of other classes and visits to nurseries in her area. Birthday parties for children aged 2–7 are another popular offering, full of music, games, and fun.
Svenja notes that reaching families has become more challenging due to changes in nursery funding, with many children now attending full-time nursery from age two. Despite this, she remains passionate about her work. “I absolutely love it. Seeing children having fun, learning new skills, and spending time with their grown-ups is incredibly rewarding,” she says.
