The town’s monthly Artisan Market returns alongside a Free Community Event and Health & Wellbeing Fair, creating a lively, welcoming atmosphere right in the heart of Market Drayton.
This month is particularly exciting, as the market continues to grow, with plans to welcome up to 40 independent traders and expand into additional space across the street from the Buttercross.
Jake Burgess, of market operator Castle Artisan, said:
“We’ve been so successful in Market Drayton that there is demand for the market to grow.
“We’re planning for up to 40 stalls and a rotating selection of businesses, so that no two markets will be the same.
“We want to introduce live music, free family activities and increase the number of hot food traders, bringing a mini festival vibe to Market Drayton every month.”
Visitors can browse a fantastic mix of artisan stalls, featuring local makers, artists and food producers from across Shropshire, Staffordshire and Cheshire. From handmade goods to freshly prepared treats, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Alongside the market, the Free Community Event and Health & Wellbeing Fair adds even more to the day. There will be games, crafts and circus skills sessions, giving visitors of all ages the chance to try something new, get involved and have fun together.
It’s also a great opportunity to meet others and connect with local groups, with the Wellbeing Hub offering friendly advice, support and simple health checks, including blood pressure monitoring.
Visitors can also enjoy the wider offer in Market Drayton, with the Indoor Market open on the same day, adding even more independent stalls and choice to explore.
Getting here is easy whether you’re travelling from nearby or further afield. You can travel by bus into Market Drayton town centre or drive and park in one of the nearby car parks, all within easy walking distance of the event.
