Following the success of the previous event, another Historic Pub Walk is coming to Market Drayton — and this time it’s helping to celebrate History Week in the town.
Due to popular demand, visitors and local residents are being invited to enjoy another educational and refreshing evening exploring the rich history of Market Drayton’s pubs and inns while supporting the work of Market Drayton Museum.
The guided walk will take participants around some different historic pubs in the town, giving people the opportunity to discover fascinating stories, local history and hidden tales connected to Drayton’s long pub heritage.
The walk is expected to last approximately three hours and includes stops at several local pubs where participants can sample a drink and enjoy the atmosphere of some of Market Drayton’s best-loved venues.
Please note that drinks are not included and participants will need to purchase their own refreshments during the afternoon.
Tickets cost £5 plus booking fee, with proceeds helping to support the museum and its work preserving and sharing the history of Market Drayton.
Organisers say the event is a fantastic way to celebrate History Week while bringing together local history, community spirit and the town’s thriving hospitality scene.
Spaces are expected to fill quickly following the popularity of the last walk.
