It was great to see local businesses come together at the British Legion Club recently for our latest Market Drayton Business Networking event.

We know that running a business can sometimes feel quite lonely, especially for small businesses and sole traders, which is why opportunities to meet other local business owners are so important. Networking isn’t just about selling your services – it’s about building relationships, sharing ideas, learning from each other and supporting the local economy.

We really enjoyed chatting with everyone who came along and hearing more about their businesses, their plans for the future and some of the challenges they face. Every business in Market Drayton plays a part in making our town a great place to live, work, shop and visit.

That’s exactly why Market Drayton Town Council continues to fund free networking events and free monthly training sessions for local businesses. We want to give businesses access to the skills, knowledge and support that can help them grow, attract more customers and ultimately bring more people into our town centre.

business networking with Danny DraytonOne of the highlights of the evening was Danny Drayton’s Speed Quiz demonstration. Danny put together a series of quick-fire questions all about Market Drayton, which sparked plenty of laughter and friendly competition. It was a brilliant way to end the evening and gave everyone a taste of what’s to come.

We’ll certainly be along for Danny’s next quiz night at the British Legion Club on Wednesday 8th July. Entry is just £2 per person, the first question starts at 8pm, and if the demonstration was anything to go by, it promises to be a really enjoyable evening. We’d encourage everyone to come along and support it.

We’re also keen to see the business networking group continue to grow. Whether you’re just starting out, have been trading for years, work from home, run a shop, provide a service or employ a larger team, we’d love to see you at a future event.

Our next Business Networking event will take place on Wednesday 23rd September at the British Legion Club.

If you’d like to get involved sooner, why not join us at The Hideout on the second Tuesday of every month at 10.30am? It’s a relaxed opportunity to meet other local businesses over a coffee, make new connections and find out what’s happening around town.

The more we work together and support one another, the stronger Market Drayton becomes
