About
Fordhall Community Land Initiative in Market Drayton is a pioneering example of sustainable, community-owned farming, demonstrating how low-input organic agriculture can support both the environment and local people for generations to come. Building on the legacy of the late Arthur Hollins, Fordhall Farm has remained proudly chemical-free for over 80 years. Today, his son Ben Hollins continues this vision as a tenant farmer, raising pasture-fed organic cattle and sheep using the innovative foggage farming system, alongside free-range pigs. The farm is not only a working agricultural enterprise but also a valued community space, offering opportunities for education, wellbeing, relaxation, and outdoor experiences—creating a unique partnership between farming and the local community.
