National Gardening Week (28 April – 4 May 2025) is the nation’s biggest celebration of gardening, organised by the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS). It’s a chance for everyone to discover the joys of gardening, whether it’s planting seeds for the first time, growing your own veg, or simply filling your home with beautiful blooms.
Gardening is more than just a hobby — it’s great for wellbeing, encourages wildlife, and helps make our communities greener, brighter places to live. Whether you have a huge garden, a small balcony, or just a sunny windowsill, National Gardening Week is about celebrating the difference that plants and flowers can make to our lives.
At Make It Market Drayton, we want to know:
🌼 Where is your favourite place to buy flowers in Market Drayton?
Is it one of our fantastic local florists like Flores Diem, Cooke and Thomas, or Field Floristry? Or maybe a local market stall or garden centre just outside town? Let’s celebrate the wonderful businesses that help keep Market Drayton blooming!
🌷 Who’s your go-to florist in town?
Is there someone special who always creates the perfect bouquet? A florist who knows exactly what you’re looking for? We’d love to hear about them.
🌻 And what’s your favourite flower?
Is it cheerful sunflowers, classic roses, delicate lilies, or something wild and wonderful? Share your favourites with us and tell us why they mean so much to you.
This National Gardening Week, let’s come together to celebrate the beauty all around us and the people who help bring it into our homes, gardens, and streets.
🌸 Tell us your favourite flower and best places to buy blooms in Market Drayton on our Facebook group or email us at helen@makeitmarketdrayton.com! 🌸
