It was fantastic to meet so many local people at Business Boost in Market Drayton, delivered in partnership with Shropshire Growth Hub at Market Drayton Library.
As Make It Market Drayton, our aim is always to support local businesses and entrepreneurs, and this event showed just how much appetite there is for advice, reassurance and practical support within the town. Throughout the afternoon we spoke with business owners, people thinking about starting up, and others exploring how to grow an idea alongside their current job.
Alongside the Shropshire Growth Hub team, we had the opportunity to talk to experts covering leadership, marketing, funding and start-up support. Many conversations focused on understanding which digital skills are most useful, how to approach funding for new or future premises, and how to take the first steps towards turning an idea into a viable business.
The Shropshire Growth Hub offers free, fully funded support and guidance, and it was great to see local people making the most of the chance to ask questions, explore options and find out what help is available beyond the event itself.
A Great Place to Do Business
Events like this reinforce why Market Drayton is a great place to do business. There is a strong network of support available locally, much of it completely free, and designed to help businesses at every stage — from first ideas through to growth and expansion.
If you are interested in starting a business but are not sure where to begin, or if you are already trading and want to strengthen what you do, there is plenty of support available right here in the town.
