Looking for a free family activity during the summer holidays? The brand-new Market Drayton Discovery Trail is the perfect way to explore the town, uncover hidden history and be in with a chance of winning a prize.
Created by Make it Market Drayton, this self-guided trail takes you on a fascinating journey around the town centre, challenging you to spot hidden architectural features, historic buildings, plaques, weather vanes, carvings and other fascinating details that many people walk past every day without noticing.
Suitable for all ages, the trail encourages families, residents and visitors to slow down, look up and discover a different side of Market Drayton while enjoying everything the town has to offer.
Along the way you’ll uncover clues linked to more than 15 locations, learning about the town’s rich history while exploring at your own pace. It’s also a great excuse to browse Market Drayton’s independent shops, enjoy a coffee or lunch, visit the museum and make a real day of your visit.
Best of all, the Discovery Trail is completely free to enter.
Trail booklets can be picked up from Market Drayton Town Hall or Market Drayton Library, making it easy to start your adventure whenever you’re in town.
Once you’ve completed the questions, simply return your completed booklet to Market Drayton Town Hall by Monday 31st August 2026 and you’ll be entered into the free prize draw for the chance to win a prize.
