Families in Market Drayton are being invited to take part in a free, fun-filled community festival set to take over the town this spring.

The JDL Family Fest, funded by Market Drayton Town Council, will take place on Saturday 2nd May 2026, running from 10am to 4pm along Cheshire Street and across the town centre.

Organised by JDL Mini Markets, the event promises a wide range of activities aimed at all ages, from young children to adults. Attractions will include circus academies, crazy golf, animal encounters, magic shows and stilt walkers, alongside live music performances throughout the day.

Visitors can also browse a selection of local stalls and enjoy food and drink from a variety of vendors, helping to showcase the town’s independent businesses and community groups.

Event organiser Claire Lloyd said the festival is designed to bring people together while providing an affordable day out. She said: “We’re excited to welcome families from across the town for a day of fun and community spirit.”

The festival is free to attend, with organisers hoping to attract large crowds from across the area. Local businesses, volunteers and community organisations are playing a key role in supporting the event.

Organisers are also encouraging more people to get involved, with opportunities available for volunteers, stallholders and community groups. Anyone interested can find more information through the JDL Mini Markets website or the event’s Facebook page.

Families are advised to arrive early to make the most of the full programme of activities.
