Saturday 13th September 2025 was a truly wonderful day at the Market Drayton Artisan Market! The town was buzzing with activity, colour, and community spirit as the event was hosted by Make It Market Drayton with the support of Market Drayton Town Council, featuring a range of exciting stalls and attractions for all ages and songs by the young people from Market Drayton Amateur Operatics and Dramatics Society.
Families enjoyed a variety of children’s activities, and one of the most memorable moments of the day was a visit from Market Drayton’s very own Gingerbread Man! Children and adults alike were delighted to meet this cheerful character, making it a truly magical highlight of the market.
The ‘Conversations With Your Local Councillor’ stall also gave residents the chance to chat directly with the town council and share their thoughts about the community.

Even with a touch of rain around midday, spirits remained high, and the event was a wonderful opportunity to connect, learn, and celebrate the strength and creativity of the community.
As Mayor Councillor Tim Manton said:
“What a fantastic day today at the Market Drayton Artisan Market. Make It Market Drayton was out in force featuring the Health & Wellbeing Hub, lots of children’s activities, our very own ‘Conversations With Your Local Councillor’ stall, and to top it off, a visit from the Town’s very own Gingerbread Man! It was fantastic to see everyone there—it was so busy!”
