The second Make It Market Drayton event on Saturday 12th July was a wonderful success, bringing the town centre to life with music, games, and a brand-new Wellbeing Hub. Building on the popularity of the pilot event in April, this family-friendly day perfectly complemented the monthly artisan market and created a warm, welcoming atmosphere for all ages.
Families enjoyed a morning full of free games and activities, with children enthusiastically joining in and filling the play areas with laughter and energy. The live performances, including a standout set by crowd favourite Ian Nellins, kept the good vibes going throughout the day.
The introduction of the Wellbeing Hub was warmly welcomed by visitors, offering valuable health conversations and support in a relaxed setting. This new addition proved to be a great way to engage the town and promote wellbeing.
Volunteers played a key role in making the event a success, providing refreshments and running games that added to the friendly, inclusive feel of the day. Their enthusiasm and commitment show the great support behind Make It Market Drayton.
The event also attracted young people, who enjoyed both the live music and the games. Their positive feedback has inspired plans to create more spaces and activities designed especially for teenagers in future events.
Looking ahead, exciting plans are underway to expand the artisan market and build on this event’s success, promising even more vibrant and enjoyable experiences for everyone in Market Drayton.
