The Volunteers Behind Market Drayton
Volunteers play a vital role in helping Market Drayton remain a welcoming, vibrant and connected town. Every week, local people give their time to:
- Support friendship, learning and wellbeing through groups
- Help run events, films and activities at the Festival Drayton Centre
- Assist community centres and village halls across the area
- Take part in litter-picking and environmental projects
- Support residents and visitors at the local library
- Help care for the Shropshire Union Canal and surrounding green spaces
- Organise community events and activities throughout the year
Without volunteers, many of these services and activities simply would not be possible.

Support for volunteering in Market Drayton will continue beyond Volunteers Week.
